‘A Bit of Wiggle Room’ banner star.

I would like to introduce the ‘A Bit of Wiggle Room’ banner star (above). I met him (may be her) some time ago when I visited Historic Oak View County Park in Raleigh NC. I am not sure the park hires him to greet visitors or he just felt the place is his. I spotted him around first. He eventually came to greet me as a good host would. He even walked along with me when I was around at the park.  I felt warm welcome by this fellow.

I used a picture of him for the ‘A Bit of Wiggle Room’ banner from the beginning and have not changed since. It was a fond memory and I just like show few better pictures of him.

Here is the good look at the star of ‘A Bit of Wiggle Room’. He just posed nicely for me to take picture. He is a pure smoky cat (smoky color is one of my favorite color for cats). I hope you agree that he is quite handsome in this picture.

You may recognize the picture above as it is the banner of the ‘A Bit of Wiggle Room’. This is a bit better version than the banner. Here he was walking along side me around in the barn house. That made me feel special 🙂

I think it is good to remember a long time friend once in a while. It is too bad that I did not get his name. Anyway, I hope you like the ‘A Bit of Wiggle Room’ banner star 🙂

    It is a long time friend you and him？ I also think he’s handsome. And I think the brain is also excellent. Which photo is also great.

    I love these gray cat breeds, despite being gorgeous, they are highly intelligent and social. There’s the Russian Blue and The British Shorthair. I would love to get a British Shorthair. You can google image search them to see them. They are beautiful!

      Thank you, Cindy for the information of the breed name of the cat. I think the cat is not quite ordinary like domestic tabby. It is one uniform color. The face is a little round too. I looked up the pictures of them. I think this one is British Shorthair. They must be expensive.

    Well my art teacher side lot up when you said smoky gray is a fav of yours -it is just fun when folks have favs and this is such a unique color!
    It is also nice to get to know more about YC blog- and I do sort of remember the banner, but I use the reader so much lately and so I do not frequently see full sites. I get posts and comments…..
    Anyhow – that shadow photo is a pretty amazing capture – and I feel kind of cheesy saying this – but how tender and beautiful that someone connects with a cat like this – someone is in tune with this to even receive the welcome – pretty cool!
    I have a back story to someday share about my current blog name….. But the photo is a crop of am ordinary photo I took at the mall! I have come to live my banner – but that is about. It.
    Hope you have a nice week lend and now I do wonder the name……

      For some reason, I like this color for a cat. I do like other colors for cat too but not all of them. I am not sure I like white for a cat or it is the least 🙂

      I understand this correctly about not notice banner when just go right to read posts. I think it comes to notice is when you visit the main page and in particular visit the blog the very first time. I just looked at your blog banner page now too. I think it is nice. I like the reflection on the glass window in front of the purses. That is a cool pattern on the picture (without having to do that in the post processing). Oh yes, I believe the banner needs certain aspect ratio thus needs an odd cropping.

      I am glad you like the picture of the shadow picture of the cat. I am very attracted to cat when I see one around and dog too (but just a tad less). For the name, it simply means a bit of wiggle room to share my views of things that I experienced 🙂

        thanks for the reply and I did go and see the banner of yours and recalled it correctly.
        Thanks for checking out my banner – I used to change my banner every season – but for some reason I have left this one since I started this blog last year. Just like it – and maybe I also do not see it a lot because I am never even on my own home page.

    Wow it is amazing! I love your banner picture, all the shadows on it, but somehow I thought that it was the same handsome ginger kitty you have on your profile picture! Thank you for introducing the smoky star! You are lucky in the friends department 😉

      Thank you 🙂 The sun was on the other side that make the grey color looked a bit off. The ginger kitty I have on my profile was a cat around my neighbor. I believe his name is Kevin. His family moved a way few years now 😦

    What a handsome looking kitty!! 😀 And he obviously likes to pose – at least for you. You captured him well! I thought the cat picture you had in your header image was the same as your ginger cat profile picture. Never thought it might be another cat – it’s nice to meet him! You obviously like cats a lot? The little ginger cat profile, is that your own cat, or another delightful one you met on another trip? I’m guessing you’re not actually a little ginger cat with a blog?!! 😉 I think everyone should be a little cat profile on WordPress – imagine that – all those cat profiles on WordPress! 😀

      I am glad you agreed he is handsome 🙂 Thank you. I do like cats a lot and could not help trying to meet one if see one. The ginger cat isn’t my cat. His name is Kevin, I believe. He is the cat round my neighborhood. His family moved away a few years ago. He always hung around out side. That is how I get to meet him and got a picture of him.

    A star indeed ~ and it is great to get the nice backstory to “A Bit of Wiggle Room” as I tend to judge almost all cat photos (at least the ones I take) to this image of yours. It was a bit eye-opening for me to see her (I assume it was a her) as a smoky color, which is even more mysterious, as an interloper that managed to find its way into all of our hearts 🙂 Fits you and this blog very well.
