We are Ground Covering Flowers.
Near the ground, we grow.
Among debris and fallen leaves, we live.
Together and humble, we are.
Those are our beauty.
Many only look for beauty from high up.
Perhaps, when you’re down and look low.
You may find us down by your feet.
Our beauty can cheer you up from below.
Don’t be afraid to look low.
Remember us when you are not down too.
We are Ground Covering Flowers.
This is sooo beautiful!!! Both the picture and the poem! The flowers look the delicate and beautiful, and your words catch their meaning perfectly – love it! ๐

These are such pretty little delicate things!!โฅ It’s enlightening when we start looking close to the ground, there so many interesting little plants and flowers. Most times our clumsy big feet probably just walk on them all! I’ve been taking some pictures of little flowers in a cemetery near me recently and my aunt’s flowery cottage garden a couple of days ago. I found some very similar to these, but probably not the same variety.
I like the way you gave the flowers a voice in poetry – you’re growing into this poetry thing on here very well! And well done for seeing and capturing the tiny things of life! ๐

I love to look for those little flowers and small plants that grow near ground too. It seems that is another world entirely. I do like to see small models or miniaturized things. They are fascinating to me. You went to cemetery and your aunt’s flowery cottage to take pictures of little flowers. How cool! ๐ They must be lovely place.
Thank you ๐ That is what I had in mind. I wanted to give them voices, let they have their expression out.
Poetry ? No, no, no ๐

Incredible, just incredible words. “Among debris and fallen leaves, we live. Together and humble, we are. Those are our beauty.” Is there not a better place to live, to truly feel and understand the world and life. I love this ~ and of course, wonderful photos too. The lead shot, with the focus and low perspective, complements your words so well. “Together and humble we are”…that is where we should all be ๐
Cheers to a great weekend ~

wonderful words and photo- the play on the word down was inspiring (and the few florets of dark pink have such interest!)
also – I was just admiring some of the ground cover in my yard because it sure keeps weeds down… and can be easy to care for when they do what they do (down low that is…) ha!
