A Green Room In The Back

Back Green Room

I read an article recently. I do not recall what it was about now but I recall the author mentioned that when he sees pictures he took he re-lives those moments again.  I think he is right.

It was in July. The weather was hot and humid in Bangkok. Going outside from the air conditioned room was a far thinking.  But when I saw this green room at the back of a souvenir store. The room was outside but for that moment I forgot about the hot and humid air. I just wanted to be in it. I stepped out. It was pleasant. I was not disappointed.

It is a splendid space. And fit the time of the fresh green.

I definitely think looking back at photos can transport us to the exact moment we took the photo or were in the photo. But I feel that more when looking at a photo album of pictures than looking at photos on the computer. Perhaps it has something to do with taking a roll of films to the store to get developed and having to wait for them and then pasting them in the album. I felt more connected with the photo.

The digital camera is so quick and takes no time. Plus we can take 10 or more shots of the same scene where with the old fashioned cameras, we had to get it right the first time.

Just silly thoughts. LOL And…….a beautiful green room. 🙂

You are right. The album can be even more. I think it can bring you back to the event moment by moment.

I gave up film camera a long long time back for various reasons. The reasons you mentioned are among them 🙂

      Thank you!

Ladysighs, I believe you can still do. I know a few people went back to do film. I am a bit surprised that they do that these days.

Those are probably the prettiest green room walls I’ve ever seen! 🙂 I can understand people feeling that room was cool and refreshing. You could almost walk into those walls into an imaginary garden! 😉 I love the concept of art on walls. I had an idea for my bedroom in recent years of painting a blooming cherry tree on one wall, but I never seem to have the time with all this blogging. Difficult to do both with different hands! 😉

I have not heard the concept of art on walls before. [Googling around a bit…ah, I see a few nice examples of them now.] That is a pretty idea to have a blooming cheery tree painted on one wall in your bed room 🙂 And yes, I understand how that goes 🙂

Very interesting room that they set up at the back. I guess, people go out in the evening.

Your photo reminded me of potato printing, I used to cut potatoes in half then cut a leaf shape or a circle and then dip it in paint and make patterns. Happy memories.

It’s a lovely space – and you captured it beautifully. It’s almost like the wallpaper flows out from the three lamps above the table.

You have good eyes. Yes, the painting looks like 3D a bit and makes the room more open. Thank you, Otto.

What a gorgeous image, YellowCable. The symmetry is outstanding in how you captured the arches on the walls with the arches of the hanging lamps. Exceptional shot, one that I totally enjoyed. I can understand why you were not disappointed. Love, Amy ❤

You are very welcome, YC. I just Love the curves and with that table, all becomes balanced. Much geometry in that image and it is really stunning!! ❤

You are right the cool shade of green is a major drawn. I think they are right about the color.

I really like the story with the photo – and I agree that the photo can sometimes allow one to relive a moment – have not heard it put that way 🙂

and I noticed that coming back today I also see who you mention the air and the temperature – and then int he photo there is an airy feeling with the mural and the feel of the drooping lights –

Love the decoration on the wall and the contrast it gives to the table. I wish they went minimal with the ceiling lamps.

Ah, yes that could be better if they tone down a bit on the lamps.
