Sunset Park – Indialantic Florida

You probably do not hear Sunset Park in Indialantic Fl. anywhere before. The place is small and is just a park for the locals. Nevertheless the trees in the park can provide good shade from hot Florida sun and makes you feel elsewhere.  If I recalled it correctly there are a couple of benches facing west for looking over Indian River. That is where you can sit down relax and let your eyes gaze over the expansive river or find a far away horizon where the land and the sky meet. That makes this place a little gem and its name (I believe). It is a great place to watch beautiful sunset.  I was glad I took a short walk one evening and discovered this little gem.

Indialantic Florida, I will have to remember this place ~ beautiful photo. The sunset, the water and what I like best is the pier going out into evening…that is where I will be. Sitting at the end, feet dangling in the water and perhaps a brew or two to keep me company.

      Thank you 🙂

That is a great plan to do. I am not sure this is still true. You might get a grime of dolphins in the river. If you like pelican, then you might see them at the pier (other one). I do not think the pier in the picture is a public accessible one.

Wow, dolphins and pelicans (both amazing creatures) would be worth the price of admission itself…as for public accessibility, it has never stopped me before 🙂 Cheers!

The place is just a local park in the area and only known to the people to live around. Unless you are in the area, it will not be any where on the big map, I was there just the right time 🙂

You remind me of the FL I miss. The one with no bumper to bumper traffic just me looking out upon the water with a warm breeze and my feet stretched out before me. LOVE THIS

Thank you Eunice. You are right about the traffic in that area. I suspect traffic around Boca Raton can be heavy.

What a beautiful picture – so relaxing! 🙂 A very fabulous view from a park, and beautiful shape to those clouds! I don’t think there are any parks in England that would have that kind of sea view. Unless of course, I just haven’t discovered them yet! 😉

I think the place are for local people to do just that. I think there are few small hide out corners in the areas there. There is a public accessible pier up the road with in a walking distance there too. I saw big pelicans hang around and finding fish there. That was a good place too. I do not have any pictures from it. Thank you 🙂

You did really capture a beautiful sunset. Wonderful colours in the sky and the reflections in the sea. Looks like such a quiet and serene moment.

Thank you Otto. I was lucky to be at the place at the right time. It was not a plan. The low trees, structures on the other side of the river help a lot.

Beautiful discovery. What would we do without our locals parks?

Thank you. I think that will not be good for many of us without the local parks. I think every cities need a few, regardless of big or small 🙂
