Books! Books! …

Books on bookshelf are somehow fascinating to me.
They seem to be calling you to come and read their stories. I like rooms with a wall size bookshelf full of books.
It would be wonderful to have a room like that and immerse yourself in there browsing and reading them books all day.

Hi YellowCable. I agree with you, for books are very touchy-feely. Farmer Ralph x 😉

My books keep telling me to come dust them! But, don’t anyone dare suggest that I get rid of any of them. Thanks for the return visit to my blog. 🙂

I want a personal library attached to my living room one day… as soon as I can afford 1!

Shelves full of books offer so much. All within their pages, places, people, events, sorrow, joy and love.
    Great post…

Do you sort them in a certain order? I keep changing it: by colour on the cover, by genre, by author – alphabetical order,… when I do this every now and then it gives me chance to go through my books and remember each story! It feels like seeing an old friend again! ^^

Hmm, I guess I just put them on the shelf that make sure they just stay put. Perhaps, that means by size or weight rather 🙂

i could not agree with you more – there is something about real paper and a photo on the cover – it makes me want to dive in and savor every page. for convenience i have become a kindle user and i DO love it, but there is nothing like going to a bookstore, browsing, making a selection and taking your new read home.

I agreed with you too. The feeling of browsing through real books in a book store or a library is special with no digital substitution. Yes, I also do like kindle A LOT (mine is not on Kindle but the effect is the same). It is so convenient, light and never have to worry about losing any books (of course you can lost a reader but not a book). Thank you for visiting.

I’ve always wanted a library in my home. Just to sit there, enjoy a good book, the smell of paper and relax 🙂 Great photo!

A very inviting image of books! 🙂 Yes, as a lady that loves words, I can get very caught up in the browsing of books! I have to restrain myself from buying a few more until I’ve finished the ones I’ve got already. And old books are even more fascinating, and I never want to have a clear out and give those away!!

I am completely with you there. Just can’t get enough books. The only thing is they take a lot of space. You buy a new shelf a before you know it, it’s already full…

I guess the old book shelf full of books may be on the way out now with the emerging of electronic readers. Its convenient to be with you everywhere and virtually no limit on space are so practical. Thank you.
